Being in Paris is a unique experience in a lifetime when you like living in big cities on a fast track. I confess, Paris has lost a lot of its magic and prestige, but something that you cannot take away is its historic and artistic wealth. There is so much art in Paris, I think it is impossible not to be touched and impressed by that powerful creative aura. I feel sometimes fed up with being in this urban jungle, but there are some magical moments that remind me how much I love Paris. Like letting myself get lost in the streets and suddenly running into Notre-Dame de Paris, strolling over the charming bridges or visiting the Orsay museum (which is my favorite museum). It sounds cliché said like that, but sometimes it turns out to be pretty accurate!

I don’t really follow fashion, I would say that my overall style comes from different influences I’ve had in my life. First, by my Caribbean origins as I love bright and really colorful clothing, but also by the French-Parisian fashion style that I would define sober and trendier. There was a period of time when I was influenced by gothic fashion and I still like having a dark and alternative style, embellished with elegant wardrobe pieces such as beautiful corsets for example. I actually like wearing everything depending on the circumstances and as long as it is a real crush!

If I had to choose a place locally that inspires me the most it would be Montmartre definitely! I have the chance to live nearby, so I always find time to have a stroll in this village literally in the heart of Paris. It’s a place full of charm that brings me a lot of peace (when it’s not packed with tourists). And the reason why I feel so connected with this place it’s obviously thanks to its artistic atmosphere, with a tremendous amount of artists there and the beautiful church of Sacré-Coeur perched on the hill. Yes, it’s really my favorite place ever! More generally, France is a beautiful country that I haven’t had the chance to really visit as I prefer traveling abroad (I know, shame on me). But I can tell there are many inspiring places, such as in Normandy where I plan to live soon (located in northern France). It’s a wonderful region which is also the birthplace of impressionism! One place that I would choose would be the wonderful cliffs of Etretat which reminds me a lot of Ireland.
