Internationally I thought my favourite place was New York however I always reminisce about the times I visited Crete, Greece. I became friends with the locals and was often invited for food and drinks. I saw how hard working the local people worked and saw how involved children were in their family business. Opposite to where I was staying was a family run restaurant, and every night when they shut their doors I would see the whole family sit down at the table to play cards. The holiday made me remember not only the importance of family but what matters the most, happiness. It reminded me that happiness is not measured in the latest technology or the newest fashion item. I remember sitting on the beach later that night and I was so overwhelmed by how blessed I was. I guess you could say it was a holiday dedicated to self-reflection.

I studied art in college and still have a passion for it now. I don’t force art, sometimes I have this urge to draw at 2am so I’ll just grab my paper and draw. Other times I’ll invest in quality paints and buy a canvas to paint on and work on it for weeks. I usually just use acrylic paints. I’ve also experimented with watercolours and pastels but I find that they are not bold enough for what I have in mind. If I’m going to do something I’ll do it in the boldest and brightest of colours, I’ll say it with a statement.

Fav kicks?

“Recently I received a pair of mid Air Jordan 1's in the style Chicago for my birthday. They're so different to what I’d usually wear as I seem to shy away from colours when it comes to shoes. When it comes to clothes I’m usually quite neutral and favour black over any other colour. My Jordans are literally my favourite shoe and I have to stop myself from wearing them 24/7. If I love something I really love it.”

Fav hometown place?

“In my hometown Hull, there is a local beach called Hornsea beach. I honestly feel so disconnected from the world when I’m there. Disconnected in a good way. I just focus on the waves and the sounds of them crashing. It’s the only place locally where I feel like it’s perfectly fine to be silent, the quieter the better as you can hear the beauty of nature more clearly.”
